I am a relatively young adult male big brown bat. Some might say I’m reasonably well-mannered, but I can be a bit feisty. I weigh in at a wopping 15.7 g. There are an unusual number of us males in High Park, so I now have a radio-tag to track my movements in the park and my living status (solitary or living in a bachelor group). Stay tuned to find out more about my life in the park!

MIA. Despite searching the ENTIRE park for my signal, I could not be found!
July 01 – July 05, 2015
I’m doing a good job of keeping my roost location a secret. I don’t seem to be in the High Park North area, South Humber Park, or Old Mill. It’s possible I may be hiding in a building somewhere so it’s hard to find my radio signal. BUT I am still feeding in High Park, which you can tell because my radio signal can be heard moving around at night.
July 06 – July 09, 2015
I’m still playing Hide & Seek – I can be heard out feeding at night, but my signal can’t be found during the day.
UPDATE – July 22, 2015
My signal could no longer be heard at night, and the battery on my transmitter has died long ago – the life of such a small battery is only 16 – 21 days. So my story ends here.
